Alvina Theresa Sigur, 92, entered into God’s Kingdom on March 9, 2022. She was born in New Orleans, LA, on April 15, 1929. She is survived by her children, Greg M. Sigur and Gwen S. Loze (Kevin); her daughter-in-law, Kathy D. Sigur; her grandchildren, Glen F. Sigur, Jr., Stacy Sigur, Joshua Loze, Ashley Loze, Danielle Westfall (Matthew), Jennifer Giroir (Tim), and her great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the late Garland Sigur, Jr.; her children, the late Gary T. Sigur and Glen F. Sigur, Sr.; her parents, the late Johnny Cook and Bessie Fabian; her sisters, the late Alberta Niesen, Gloria Mire, and Helen Landry; her mother-in-law, the late Azemie H. Sigur; and her daughter-in-law, the late Kathy N. Sigur.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Wednesday, March 16, 2022, at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. VIRTUE STREET, in Chalmette, from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. A funeral mass will be held in her memory at 11:00 AM. She will be laid to rest in Greenwood Cemetery, in New Orleans.
