Amy Irene Wagers

Amy Irene Wagers passed away in Chalmette, LA on Saturday, April 9, 2016 at the age of 25. Amy was born on October 15, 1990 and was a lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish. She was a graduate of Chalmette High School in 2011 with honors. She was actively involved with soccer for the recreation department and loved spending time and enjoying country music with her family and many friends. Amy was preceded in death by great grandparents Enola De St. Germain, Melva Viola McKnight; her birth mother Rhonda Ragan, her aunt Samantha Zoller and her brother Richard Ragan. She is survived and fondly remembered by her father JP G. Wagers Jr.; her mother Jeanne Marie Wagers; her sister Constance Rose Wagers; brother-in-law Corey Riley; her son Johnathon Ray Barefoot Jr.; her daughter Allie Rose Barefoot, her fiancé Seth Wayne Pascual; her brother Eleggua Ragan, her niece Isabella Marie Lynn Riley, her nephew David Robert Vernon Smith; her grandparents Emily Wagers & Linda Zoller; her great-grandparents Frank Philip McKnight; her close friends Catherine E. Borne, Chelsea Pascual and Megan Angelo; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and dear friends. The family would like extend a deep, heartfelt “thank you” to all who helped with donations to lay Amy to rest. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Wednesday, April 27th from 10:00AM – 1:00PM, followed by a funeral service beginning at 1:00PM. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
