Angel Maria Morales was born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras in 1925 to Adan Morales Rodezno and Dolores Lopez Morales. He married Herlinda Herrera Morales in 1948 and together they raised three beautiful sons. He worked for Hodutel and afterwards he went abroad to work for an American telephone company throughout Central America. The family then immigrated to New York in 1965. There Angel worked for AT&T and the family enjoyed many New York Christmases before they relocated to New Orleans in 1975. New Orleans is where the family planted roots and there, he continued his career with BellSouth until he retired in 1992. He thoroughly enjoyed his retirement and spending time with his family. He was baptized in the Seventh-Day Adventist Church where he enjoyed worshipping God.
His family paid this tribute to him: “Papi Angel was so deeply loved and so many beautiful memories will be forever cherished. He loved life and spending time with his family. 71years of marriage with his loving wife, Mami Estela, and now they rest together until the coming of Jesus Christ.”
He is survived by his three sons, Angel Humberto, Eddie Franz, and Eric Wilmore. His four grandchildren, Deidra, Jasminda, Franz, and Ethan. His four great-grandchildren, Dean, Ariel, Frankie Jr., and Anthony.
