Angeline Fazio Vaccarella

Angeline Fazio Vaccarella passed away on Thursday, July 17, 2014 at the age of 91. She was the cherished wife of the late Morris John Vaccarella, Sr. Loving mother of Frank Joseph Vaccarella (fiancé Linda Meara) and Morris John Vaccarella, Jr. (wife Susan Vaccarella). Daughter of the late Joseph and Josephine Giardina Fazio. Sister of Sam Fazio, Tom Fazio and the late Sarah Osborne, Zena Herbert, Rose Osborn, Virginia Gurtner and Joann Acosta. Proud grandmother of Elizabeth Vaccarella, Tracey Nash (Allen), Morris Vaccarella III (Adamo), Marlo Christenson (Erik), Nina Aucoin (Jason), Marcia Rogers (Mike) and the late Randy Frank Vaccarella. Great grandmother of Olivia Christensen, Colin Christensen, Chase Cockrell, Matthew Rogers, Haston Rogers, Sophia Aucoin, Sarah Frances Vaccarella and Joseph Vaccarella. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Angeline was a resident of Slidell, LA for the past 8 years and a former resident of Arabi, LA for 47 years. She was Grand Matron of Maids for the Italian American Marching Club of New Orleans, a member of the Slidell Newcomers Club and a member of AARP – Chapter 5408. Angeline was a parishioner of St. Margaret Mary Catholic Church and a member of SMM Perpetual Eucharistic Adoration Adorers. The family would like to extend special thanks to the many doctors, nurses and aids that cared for her at Ochsner Northshore Hospital of Slidell, Greenbriar Community Care Center and Slidell Memorial Hospital. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. MARGARET MARY CATHOLIC CHURCH, 1050 Robert Blvd., Slidell, LA on Monday, July 21, 2014 from 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will begin at 12:00 PM. Interment will be private.
