He is survived by his loving wife of 35 years, Karen Castro Peltier; his sons, Andrew (Emily) and Corey (Hannah); his cherished grandchildren, Camille, Callum and Thomas, who brought him endless pride and joy; his parents, Jerome Joseph Peltier and Rosemary Musso Peltier. He was a proud uncle and the Godfather of Brandon Peltier (Liz). Brother-in-law of Sandra Savoy (Anthony), Terri Nunez (Roy), Vincent Castro (Nancy) and Tammy Domingue. He is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces/nephews/cousins and his beloved son (canine companion), Bruno.
Angelo is preceded in death by his beloved sister, Bridget Peltier Schlosser; mother-in-law, Marian Michel Castro and father-in-law, Louis Leroy Castro. He is also preceded by his beloved son (canine companion), Max.
Angelo built a life filled with dedication, humor, and generosity. A mechanical engineer for 40 years, he approached his work with precision and pride. His passion for learning and teaching later led him to the classroom-- first, at Nunez Community College, where he mentored countless students in mathematics and later at Chalmette High School, where he brought patience and encouragement to young learners. Athletics were woven through every chapter of Angelo’s life. A baseball player in high school, an avid runner and a devoted sports fan, he found joy both on the field and in the stands. For over 25 years he refereed basketball for the Greater New Orleans Sports Foundation, watched golf and football religiously, and never missed a chance to cheer for his sons during their soccer matches. He loved the thrill of a good game and never hesitated to put a friendly bet on one. Above all, Angelo lived for his family.
Angelo often said he lived a good life, and he did. He loved deeply, cared openly, and never passed up an opportunity to share a joke, a drink, or a moment of connection. Those who knew him will remember his warm spirit, his quick wit, and his unwavering loyalty to the people he loved.
