Anthony Joseph Benfatti Jr.

Anthony J. Benfatti Jr., age 86, passed away surrounded by family on Saturday, June 4, 2022 in Slidell, LA. He was the beloved husband of the late Virginia Riso Benfatti for 63 years. Loving father of Anthony J. Benfatti III (Cynthia), Carmella Benfatti Stigler, Gerard V. Benfatti, (Sharon) and Julie Benfatti Neff (David). Proud grandfather of Vincent A. Benfatti, Gregory A. Benfatti, John A. Benfatti, Jennifer Lopez, Nicole Higgins Harmon, Tiffany Reichel, Misty Benfatti, Gerard Benfatti Jr., Amanda Neff, Sarah Mancuso, Johnathan Neff, and Olivia Neff. Son of the late Anthony J. Benfatti Sr. and Anna Rita Bono Benfatti. Brother of Mary Benfatti Lawless (Jerry) Johnny A. Benfatti (Grace), Lucy Benfatti Labauve (Ralph) Louie Benfatti, (Cathy) Clara Benfatti Ritchie (Leroy), Anna Rita Benfatti Williamson, Jude T. Benfatti (Cindy). Also survived by a host of great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Mr. Benfatti was a parishioner of St. Luke the Evangelist Church in Slidell, LA.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, June 10, 2022 from 9:00AM – 11:00AM. A Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 AM. He will be laid to rest with military honors in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
