A proud graduate of Woodlawn High School in Braithwaite, Louisiana, he was a hardworking and dedicated man who believed in the value of an honest day's work. He was employed by Kaiser Aluminum for 25 years, where he faithfully served and contributed to his community. However, his greatest passion was farming. For 66 years, he devoted his time, energy, and heart to being a produce and citrus farmer. Farming was more than a profession to him; it was his calling, his joy, and a way of life. Whether tending to his crops, working the land, or enjoying the fruits of his labor, he found great satisfaction in the simple but meaningful work of farming. The land was a part of who he was, and his dedication to it will forever be remembered.
He was a man who was beloved by all who knew him. His warm spirit, kind heart, strong work ethic, and genuine love for others made him a treasured presence in the lives of many. He was the kind of person who left a lasting impression, not because of what he had, but because of who he was. His life was a testament to perseverance, humility, and the importance of family and community.
Above all else, his greatest joy was his family. They were the center of his world and the greatest blessing of his life. He treasured the time spent with his loved ones and took pride in the family he nurtured, loved, and supported throughout his years. The memories he created, the lessons he taught, and the love he shared will continue to live on through the generations.
Though his hands may no longer work the fields he loved so dearly, the seeds of love, wisdom, and kindness he planted in the hearts of his family and friends will continue to grow for generations to come. His passing leaves a void in the hearts of those who loved him, but his legacy will forever remain in the community he called home for 88 years, the land he cultivated for 66 years, and, most importantly, the family he loved so deeply.
He will be dearly missed, lovingly remembered, and forever cherished. His life was a blessing, his memory a treasure, and his love a legacy that will never fade. May he rest in eternal peace, reunited with his beloved wife, and may the fields he loved remind us always of a life well lived.
