Belinda Bauer

Belinda Bauer, age 70, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family at home after a courageous battle with cancer on June 21, 2026. She was born on September 3, 1955, in Bartow, Florida, to Maudine Duhon and Charles Tyson. She moved to Louisiana as a very young girl. Belinda moved around the coast until she settled in St. Bernard Parish. She graduated in 1973 from Andrew Jackson High School. She advanced her education to be a legal secretary. The thing she was most proud of was her family.

Belinda is survived by her life partner William (Billy) E. Williamson. She was a loving mother of Kiesha Beasley Monteleone, Holly D. Bauer, Patrick B. Bauer and Nathan N. Bauer; Loving Grandmother of Brittany (Wayne) Mendoza, Kayleigh (Matt) Raiford, Alexis Perron, Jason Berthelot Jr, Lainey Monteleone, Gus Monteleone IV, Caden Berthelot, Justina Martorana, Jaxon Nunez, Avarie Nunez and Camden Cheverez. Loving Great-Grandmother of Fox Mendoza, Orson Mendoza, Eli Bruna, Elise Bruna, Kaia Raiford, Corvin Mendoza and Mikah Raiford as well as many loving aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is preceded in death by her husband Thomas S. Bauer Sr.; children Shane P. Estopinal and Thomas S. Bauer Jr.; parents Maudine Harvel Duhon and Charles Tyson; stepfather Roland J Duhon; Siblings Brian J Duhon, Crystal A Kelly and Billy G Duhon.

To know Belinda was to know love, kindness, and generosity. Her love for life, family, and friends was contagious, and she truly marched to the beat of her own drum. She loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren endlessly, and they were the center of her world. Though she may be gone, her memory and the love she shared will live on through the countless lives she touched. She will be deeply missed by everyone who had the privilege of knowing her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering to celebrate Belinda's life held at Life Church, 7500 W Judge Perez Dr, Arabi, LA 70032 on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, from 1:00 PM-1:45 PM. A memorial service will begin at 1:45PM.
