Benjamin "Benny" Gerard Deichmann

Benjamin “Benny” Gerard Deichmann passed away on Wednesday, January 18, 2023 at the age of 68. He was the beloved son of the late Benjamin Joseph Deichmann and Alma Donovan Deichmann. Brother of Sister Mary R. Whittington and the late Peter B. Deichmann. Brother-in-law of the late Rita G Deichmann. Proud uncle of Barbara J Doyle, Michael B. Deichmann (Emmy), Antoinette Deichmann, James H. Deichmann (Jamie) and Christopher J. Whittington (Katie). He is also survived and fondly remembered by many great and great great nieces and nephews. Benny was a Master Welder for over 40 years and retired from Bollinger after many years of dedicated service. He loved fishing, watching football and he was a huge New Orleans Saints fan. In his spare time he enjoyed Mardi Gras, festivals and concerts. He will be deeply missed by his family and friends. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, January 21, 2023 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. A Funeral Service will begin at 11:00 AM. He will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
