Bennie LeBlanc Gonzales, the beloved wife of the late Benjamin Joseph Gonzales, passed away February 22, 2015. She was born December 4, 1924 in Labadieville, LA. She has been a resident of Arabi, LA since 1954. Mrs. Gonzales is survived by her sons Don Gonzales (Maria) and Ross Gonzales (Peggy), grandsons Don Jr., Ross Jr., Ryan and granddaughter Brenna, great grandsons, Don III, Ross III, Benjamin & Conner Gonzales, and godchild Kenneth Haydel (Anne). Mrs. Gonzales was preceded in death by her parents, Leonie "Pete" and Melodia Keller Leblanc and her two brothers, Francis and Ray LeBlanc and sister Catherine Haydel. She never met a soul in need that she would not reach out to assist.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, February 27, 2015 from 9:00 AM – 12:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will begin at 12:00 PM. Interment will follow in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers Masses preferred through Our Lady of Prompt Succor Catholic Church, Chalmette, LA or donations to the Ozanam Inn, P.O. Box 30565, New Orleans, LA 70190 in memory of Bennie LeBlanc Gonzales.
