Blanche Rose Peralta Constant peacefully entered into the arms of our Lord Jesus and the Blessed Mother Mary on Friday, April 1, 2022, at the age of 87 in New Orleans, LA. She was born on April 14, 1934, and married Albert Constant in 1950. She spent her life as a homemaker and after Albert’s passing, she lived most of her life with her daughter, Sharon and son-in-law, Dominick Chimento, who was like the son she never had. Sharon and Dominick took meticulous care of Blanche throughout her life, and they devoted their lives to making sure that she was well taken care of and had everything that she needed. Blanche lived her life focused on praising Jesus and loving her family. Blanche spent her younger years attending daily mass at her local parish church, and was most recently a parishioner at Our Lady of Lourdes Church in Violet, LA.
In addition to being a devoted and loving mother and grandmother, Blanche enjoyed sewing, and spending time with her family. Throughout her entire life, she held an unwavering faith in God, which she shared with those who surrounded her. Those who knew Blanche were fortunate enough to be blessed by her as she loved making the sign of the cross on your forehead, throat and chest while saying, “In the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit.” Many will fondly remember Blanche as a beautiful spirit who shared her love for Christ by giving them the gift of a blessed scapular. Blanche was truly an angel on earth and touched the lives of all those who she met.
Blanche is preceded in death by her parents: Joseph Peralta, Sr. and Blanche Angelo Peralta; her husband, Albert Constant; her brothers, Joe Peralta, Jr. (Gladys), Frank (Leah), Robbie (Lee Ila), Anthony (Beverly), and Ernie (Patricia); her sisters, Mercy, Dot (Henry) and Chris (Eddie) and grandson Jacob Estrade.
