Carrie Lee Ducote passed away peacefully on Friday, November 30, 2018 at the age of 85. She was the cherished wife of the late Reese J. Ducote. Loving mother of Vidalia D. Bishop, Joyce Marie Ducote, Bruce Joseph Ducote and Annette Marie Ducote. Daughter of the late Charles and Vidalia St. Romain Ducote. Proud grandmother of Scott E. Bishop, Richard J. Bailey, Troup H. Bishop, Cheré M. Lotz, Jason L. Bishop, Carrie A. Ducote, Luke M. Ducote and the late Thomas C. Bailey (T.C) and Kirk R. Ducote. Great grandmother of Tristan S. Bishop, Maya M. Bailey, Addison J. Lotz (The Boy), Reese A. Bailey, Troup A. Bishop, Reese E. Bishop and Noah W. Ducote. She is also survived and fondly remembered by many cousins, relatives and dear friends. Carrie was born in Marksville, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish. She truly enjoyed life through her simple pleasures of gardening, growing flowers, collecting family photos, being a wonderful mother and caring deeply for others. She will always be remembered for her dedication to her family and friends, her loving spirit, and spoiling the grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by us all. Relatives and friends are invited to attend an evening visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Tuesday, December 4th from 6:00PM – 9:00PM, followed by a funeral home visitation on Wednesday, December 5th from 8:30AM – 10:00AM. A Funeral Mass will be held in memory of Carrie at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2621 Colonial Blvd, Violet, LA beginning at 11:00AM. She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
