Catherine “Cathy” Gettys Manino passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, May 30, 2021 while surrounded by her family. She was 71. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, William “Wild Bill” Manino; two sons, William Manino and Michael Manino; her parents, Edward Ernest Gettys and Doris Martin Gettys. She is survived by her two daughters, Jennifer Manino and Angelle Manino; a son Anthony Manino (Jennifer); a brother, Edward A. Gettys, Sr.; a sister, Rochelle Riggio (Jeff) and her grandchildren, William Manino, Brody Manino, Brayden Manino and Brielle Pipkin. She will also be fondly remembered by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was born in New Orleans and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish. Cathy was a selfless person who was passionately dedicated to her family. Her forgiving and trusting spirit were examples to us all. She will be forever missed and deeply loved.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 30, 2021 at the Gospel Temple, 301 E. Morales St. in Chalmette from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm followed by the Memorial Service. Interment will be private in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
