Cora Robin

Cora Robin passed away peacefully while surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at the age of 99. She was the cherished wife of the late Martin Robin Sr. Loving mother of Kathleen Alphonso (Toby), Rosiland White (Robert Sr.), Tammy Foght (Floyd Jr.), the late Madeline Marrero (the late Kenneth) and the late Martin Robin Jr. (Sheila). Daughter of the late Turiano Alfonso and Adele Campo Alfonso. Proud grandmother of Eugene Jr., Timmy, Tommy, Tiffany, Tessie, Angela, Mike, Robert Jr., Ryan, Floyd III, Michael, Cody and the late Martin III. She is also survived and fondly remembered by 38 great-grandchildren and 28 great-great-grandchildren. Cora is now reunited in heaven with her 11 brothers and sisters.

Cora was born on March 29, 1925 and was a lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life, cooking, making homemade bread, crocheting and tending to her beloved garden. She was a master at Scrabble, always ready for a friendly challenge, and enjoyed spending time feeding and watching the birds. A woman of deep faith, she prayed the rosary daily, finding comfort and strength in her devotion. Above all, she cherished time spent with her family and friends, filling their lives with warmth, wisdom, and laughter. Her love and legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew her.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held on Friday, February 28, 2025 from 9:00AM - 1:00PM at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA. A Funeral Mass in her honor will begin at 1:00PM in the Chapel. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery, St. Bernard, LA.
