Dallas Franklin Foles Jr.

Dallas Franklin Foles Jr., a veteran of the United States Marine Corps who proudly served his country from 1960 – 1964 as a Lance Corporal, passed away on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at the age of 72. He was the beloved husband of 47 years to Adele Gallo Foles. Loving father of Suzanne Foles Sweeney (Kerry) and the late Peter Paul Foles Sr. (Mary Meinert). Son of the late Dallas Franklin Foles Sr. and Dorothy Eva Schmitt Foles. Brother of Eileen Foles Moote and Barbara Foles Krupp. Proud grandfather of Peter Paul Foles Jr., Trace Patrick Sweeney, Lindsey Mary Foles and Abbey Grace Sweeney. Dallas was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of St. Bernard Parish for 50 years, where he was an active member of the New Orleans A’s – Model A Ford Club of America, the St. Bernard Antique Auto Club and a former member of the Mustang Club. He was well loved and affectionately known for his good nature and generous heart. He will be forever remembered as a loving and loyal husband, father, grandfather, brother and a friend of many, who loved his antique cars and treasured his family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, June 27th from 9:00AM – 11:30AM, followed by a Funeral Mass beginning at 11:30AM. He will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
