Daniel "Danny" Morales Sr.

Daniel “Danny” Morales Sr. passed away peacefully on Saturday, September 25, 2021 at the age of 82. He was the beloved husband of 60 years to Mary Frances Gonzales Morales. Loving father of Daniel Morales Jr. (Melody), David Joseph Morales Sr. (Sheila) and Angela Marie Morales Evans (Rodney). Son of the late Alex “Minuto” Alexander Morales and Mildred Evans Morales. Brother of Alex Morales Jr. (Isabelle), Charles Morales (Anna), Eugene “Genie” Morales (Velma), Mary Louise Molero (Clifton) and Joy Menesses (Dennis). Proud grandfather of David Morales Jr., Mindy Morales, Taylor Morales, Ashley Barrow, Rodney Evans Jr., Aimee Robin, Danielle Odom, Daniel “Bubba” Morales, Dana Kozak, Shelbie Morales and Joseph Morales. Daniel is also survived and fondly remembered by his 24 great grandchildren along with many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Daniel was born in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish where he enjoyed a long career as a commercial fisherman. He truly enjoyed life through his time spent with his family and friends. He was a talented boat builder and his passion for duck hunting was surpassed only by the love for his family. He will always be remembered for his loyalty and dedication to his family, his caring and loving spirit, his laughter, and spoiling the grandchildren. He was well loved and will be deeply missed by us all.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, October 2nd from 9:00AM – 11:00AM, followed by a Funeral Mass in Daniel’s memory beginning at 11:00AM. He will be laid to eternal rest in St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery.
