David was a devout, Bible-believing Christian who found great joy in sharing his faith with others. He had a deep love for music, spending many hours playing his guitar, writing, and singing his own songs. He was known for his warm personality and genuine enjoyment of meeting new people. A naturally curious man, David had a lifelong passion for learning and a thirst for knowledge across a wide range of subjects.
He dedicated many years to coaching at Rebel Park in Chalmette, where he made a lasting impact on the lives of young athletes and their families. He was also a proud retiree of the ExxonMobil Chalmette Refinery. David had a deep love for Mardi Gras and was a longtime member of a men’s marching club, cherishing the camaraderie and traditions that came with it.
He will be deeply missed and fondly remembered for his faith, his music, his kindness, his community involvement, and the love he shared with his family and all who knew him.
David will be laid to rest in a private ceremony in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens and a celebration of David's life will be held at a later date.
