Edgar Michael Brown, age 76, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 9, 2026, following a courageous battle with cancer. Born on June 29, 1950, Edgar was a lifelong resident of New Orleans and a beloved father, son, brother, and friend whose kindness and presence touched the lives of all who knew him.
A proud New Orleanian, Edgar was a lifelong and devoted fan of the New Orleans Saints. He dedicated more than 30 years to his career as an electrical contractor and took great pride in being the owner of Rite-Way Electrical. His strong work ethic, dedication, and pride in his business were a reflection of the man he was.
Edgar will be remembered for the love he shared with his family, the friendships he cherished, and the lasting impression he made on those fortunate enough to know him. He will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.
May he rest peacefully in God’s loving embrace.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Friday, August 21, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, Louisiana. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m. in the chapel. He will be laid to rest in Metairie Cemetery.
