

It is with great sadness that after a very long illness our beloved mother Edie (Edmay) Maniscalco Williams Tedesco has peacefully passed away on July 6, 2022 at the age of 92. She was born and raised in New Orleans and graduated from Nichols High School in 1948. Before she married Charles (Charlie) Williams in 1948 she was a model. She then became a professional baseball wife and lived all over the US and Cuba supporting Charlie’s 16 year baseball career and having there 3 children during this time. She then became a resident of St. Bernard Parish in 1957. In 1966 she began her 26 year career selling, then managing real estate for Gertrude Gardner. She was a million dollar agent her first year and many thereafter. Her last 6 years with the company she was also a broker. She also loved to dance, paint, decorate and traveled the world.
Edie was the beloved mother of son Charles (Chuck) Edward & Rae Ann Williams, daughter Lynda and the late Sammie Catalanotto, and daughter Wendy & Izzy Grana. Stepmother to Terry & Daryl Tedesco and Susan Tedesco. Beloved grandmother of Rachel & Cliff Wilson, Mindy Williams, Lindsey & Ryan Willis, Mark & Jennifer Catalanotto, Sammie & Melissa Catalanotto, Liz & Jason Sensebe, Jeanette & Oscar Jimenez, Jason Grana Sr., Christi Grana, Jaime Culotta, Laurie & Chris Ford and Leland & Candace Culotta. Beloved great-grandmother of 28- Cailee, Emily, Molly, Cohen & Noah Wilson, Landon & Lucas Larocca, Whitney & Beau Willis, Evan Favalora, Lauren Catalanotto, Phoenix & Haley Sensebe, Destiny, Paula, Michael & Gabe Jimenez, Jason Jr. & Joseph Grana, Kyle & Kaitlyn Dartez, Aubree, Emerson & Bennett Ford, Hayden, Daunte & Maddie Singleton and Landon Culotta. She is also survived by her sister Melva & Raymond Holmes. She is also survived by godchildren, nieces, nephews & cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents Vincent (Mike) & Gladys Bennett Maniscalco, her first husband Charlie Williams of 42 years, her second husband Ted Tedesco of 11 years.

Our family welcomes relatives and friends for her visitation on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home at 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA from 11:00AM – 1:00PM, followed by a Mass in the chapel beginning at 1:00PM. She will be laid to eternal rest in All Saints Mausoleum in Metairie Cemetery.
