Edward "Eddie" Barrett Jorgensen

Edward “Eddie” Barrett Jorgensen passed away on Friday, July 5, 2024 at the age of 61. Loving father of Elisabeth B. Jorgensen (fiancé Bobby). Stepfather of Ashley Wallace (Joshua). Son of the late Edvard Jorgensen and Margaret Barrett Jorgensen. Brother of John Jorgensen (Kathy), Margaret Tingle (Edward), Maria Kinney (the late Roy), Elisabeth Manguno (Joseph), Donna Jorgensen (Vic), Nancy Bernard (Joseph), Anita Jorgensen and the late Linda Gerhart (David). Proud grandfather of Colton, Casen and Lily.

Eddie, born on April 5, 1963, in New Orleans, LA, passed away surrounded by loved ones in Slidell, LA. A dedicated project manager for Voekel-McWilliams, Eddie brought passion and commitment to his work. His life was enriched by his love for fishing, hunting, but nothing surpassed his love for the time he spent with his beloved grandchildren. He had a unique talent for making people laugh with his captivating stories, leaving so many wonderful memories for all who knew him. As the youngest of nine siblings, he was well loved, and affectionately known for his good nature and generous heart. He will be fondly remembered and deeply missed by all whose lives he touched. His legacy of love and laughter will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Thursday, July 18, 2024 from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. A Memorial Service will begin at 11:00 AM. Inurnment will be private.
