I’m going to miss sharing stories and laughs with Eddie. He had an extraordinary life traveling the world, and loved to let everyone hear his tales. I swear he lived several lives. He always made me laugh and I admired that he had a positive attitude no matter the situation. We only worked together for a few years, but we seemed to have an old friendship. He made a lot people feel that way. That Chalmation accent and huge smile makes me laugh just thinking about him. I’m better to have known him and so deeply saddened he is gone. I can only imagine the void he has left in his family. May god bless you guys and keep his memory found in your hearts.

Mr. Eddie, Miss Deanie, Rhonda, Danny and Eddie's family: I am so sorry to hear that Eddie is no longer with you. I always loved coming over to your house on Palmetto Street. The kindness and laughs we shared in those days always brought me back again and again. My heart is so sad for all of you. I will be thinking of you and praying that God will give you the strength to get through the coming days and months without Eddie. Take care of each other and be there for each other as a family.
Your friend from years ago,
Patricia Doar

We want to offer our condolences on the passing of your dad.
Eddie was a man of character, a good competitor and very respected in the scaffold industry.
We had many laughs about being competitors.

We are very sorry for your loss.

Your friends at Direct Scaffold Services Birmingham.

When we first met Eddie, we immediately became friends. Eddie was one of those rare men with the "knack". He was the one that everyone wanted to be around. He had those best qualities, we all know; the art of listening, wisdom, witty, and best of all his great smile. Eddie never met a stranger, he always made friends where ever he went. We will all miss Eddie, but we will never "forget him", because every time we meet someone with the "knack", we'll always think of Eddie. Love and prayers to KK and Eddie's family

Zippy and I were so happy that Eddie and Kay attended a couple of our "Saint's Under the House" parties. He was always very sweet and kind. You see, he and I grew up together because our moms were friends as young girls, and then he and Zippy lived very close as kids. We were so sorry to hear of his passing at such a young age. We will miss him at our future parties, but the fond memories live on. Our thoughts and prayers are with all of his family. We love y'all. God bless, Pam and Zippy Showalter

It’s difficult to pick just one memory when there are so many. I will miss hearing about his travels all over the world, his childhood shenanigans, his favorite places to eat, sharing ideas and aspirations with each other. It breaks my heart to know I’ll never hear his laugh again. I used to joke with E and tell him most of his stories had to be made up, because there was just no way someone could have this many stories, but he did it all. He truly lived his life and loved every second. Thank you for showing me how to be my best self, and for being such an awesome Podna to Asher. You will be missed so much, by so many.

You will be missed greatly.

I remember all the years we had the "GRAFF" family reunions in Audubon Park . Eddie was always there with welcoming arms to everyone.
About a year ago we went to his parents home so that I could share the Graff family history . I left my cord for my lap top at home and Big Eddie called Eddie Jr and he brought the piece I need right over and was so into all the information that I had gathered on the family history . Always had a smile on his face when I seen him.

Life just seems so unfair! Even when Eddie was so sick in the hospital in Sulphur, he was still thinking of others. He was worried about Kk's well being ( when she broke her back)! I enjoyed he and KK's visit to our new Home shortly before he became ill! He was always smiling and laughing. I loved to hear his stories. He loved and took grest care of my friend. He will truly be missed by everyone! God has gained an awesome soul!
