Elizabeth “Betty” Scivicque Hoover, age 84 years, passed away on Thursday, August 18, 2016 at Colonial Oaks Living Center in Metairie, LA. Beloved wife of the late Loyal V. Hoover, Sr. Loving mother of Deborah Hoover Donnelly (Bobby), Loyal V. Hoover, Jr. (Peggy), and Karen Hoover Bradbury (Clarence). Daughter of the late George Otto Scivicque and Elsie Marie Fontenot Scivicque. Sister of Carl Joseph Scivicque, Sr. (Evelyn). Grandmother of Robert M. Donnelly, Jr., Rowdy M. Donnelly, Rebecca Donnelly Muscarello, Ryan M. Donnelly, Stacie Hoover Smith, Loyal V. Hoover, III, Troy M. Hoover, Ricky J. Bradbury, Sr., and Sharon Bradbury Russo. Great grandmother of Kristian L. Donnelly, Ashley M. Morgan, Gabrielle O. Donnelly, Joanah E. Muscarello, Isaac M. Muscarello, Allie S. Harris, Zachary R. Donnelly, Ali R. Smith, Bryce J. Smith, Mason J. Smith, Jacob A. Smith, Loyal V. Hoover, IV, Roman C. Hoover, Ashley Bradbury, and Ricky J. Bradbury, Jr. Great great grandmother of Averie J. Baldridge and arriving soon, Kohl L. Cuccia. Mrs. Hoover was a native of Whitehall, LA and a resident of St. Bernard since 1949. She was a retired Librarian for the St. Bernard Parish Library retiring in the early 90’s. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the funeral services at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, August 20, 2016 at 2:00 PM.
