Elsie M. Vedrenne passed away on Monday, June 15, 2015 at the age of 79. She was the cherished wife of 57 years to Leon J. Vedrenne Sr. Loving mother of Kim V. Manalla and Leon J. Vedrenne Jr. Daughter of the late Zeno and Naomie Meche. Sister of Zeanna Speyrer. Proud grandmother of Nicole M. Lafrance (Cliff), Nathan Manalla (Cheraimie) and Neal Manalla. Great-grandmother of Hannah, Alexander “Alec”, Ashton & Ella Lafrance, Kayla, Mya & Cecelia Manalla and Briana & Tatum Burkett. Great-great grandmother of Owen Hornsby. She is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Elsie was well loved and will be forever remembered as a loving and loyal wife, mother, grandmother and a friend of many, who was a talented painter, loved her friends and treasured her family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, June 19th from 2:30PM – 4:30PM, followed by a funeral service in her memory beginning at 4:30PM. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
