Ernest C. Pierce Sr.

Ernest C. Pierce Sr. passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, February 16, 2015 at the age of 88. He was born on January 29, 1927 to the late Lewis and Lucy Viola Pierce. Beloved husband of the late Jane Bergeron Pierce for 60 years. Devoted father of Donna Armond (Kenny), Lisa Guillot ( David) and the late Ernie Pierce, Kenny Pierce and Kevin Pierce. Brother of Eunice Roig, Lewis Pierce and the late Sue Gunn and Edwina Elliott. Proud grandfather of Alicia, Preston, Ken Jr., Marc, Shaun, Cherie and Katiera. Also survived by 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.

Ernest was a United States Army Veteran and received a World War II Victory Medal and Occupation Medal Germany. He will always be remembered for his quick wit and humorous personality, especially his one liners. Ernest was the owner of Ernie’s TV on St. Bernard Highway for over 40 years. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, February 21, 2015 from 10:30 AM – 1:30 PM.
