Evelyn Deffes Marcus, beloved by many, passed away peacefully at the age of 69 on Tuesday, March 26, 2024. Evelyn is survived by her children, Angelo Russo Jr. (Melissa) and Amy Nicosia (Dale Jr.); her grandchildren Madison Crapo, Gage and Cody Russo, and Trace Fricke; and her great-grandson Wyatt Crapo. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Bessie Deffes; her brothers John Deffes Jr., Ralph Deffes; and her sister Patsy Deffes.
Evelyn was known for her vibrant spirit and love for life’s simple pleasures. With a cigarette in hand, she found solace and joy in each puff, cherishing the moments of quiet reflections it brought. Her passion for sleep was unmatched, finding comfort and serenity in its embrace.
Among her favorite pastimes was playing bingo, where she found excitement and camaraderie in the thrill of the game. Evelyn’s sharp mind was evident in her dedication to crossword puzzles, often spending hours immersed in their challenges.
Evelyn leaves behind cherished memories and a legacy of warmth and laughter. May her love for life’s small joys continue to inspire those who knew her. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
