

Evelyn Saucier Palmisano, age 91, passed away peacefully on November 1, 2025. Born on March 12, 1934, in New Orleans, LA, she lived a long and faith-filled life devoted to her family and her Catholic faith. A devoted wife, Evelyn was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Anthony V. Palmisano, in 2010. Though widowed for many years, she continued to live a life full of love, grace, and strength—values that inspired everyone who knew her. She was the proud mother of Craig Palmisano (Melanie), Karen Palmisano, Donna Tresch (Edward), Robert Palmisano (Cathy), Cindy Gonzales (Enrique) and Glen Palmisano (Lydia). She cherished her 14 grandchildren, adored her 25 great-grandchildren and was a caring great-great grandmother of 3. Evelyn was a loving sister-in -law to Vernon Hearn and Linda Saucier. She was a proud aunt to many nieces and nephews. Evelyn is preceded in death by her parents, Edgar Saucier and Shirley S. Saucier, her siblings, Shirley Hearn, Edgar Saucier Jr. (the late Diane), Daniel Saucier (the late Jean) and Dennis Saucier.
Her family was her greatest joy, and she never missed an opportunity to share her love, wisdom, and support. Evelyn was deeply devoted to her Catholic faith, attending Mass regularly and living her life guided by prayer, kindness, and compassion. She found peace and purpose in her faith and passed those values on to her children and grandchildren. Her family and friends will remember her gentle spirit, her unwavering love, and her deep devotion to both faith and family. She will be dearly missed but forever remembered with love.

All those whose lives Evelyn has touched are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, November 8, 2025, from 11:00AM- 1:00PM. A funeral service will begin at 1:00PM. Burial will follow in ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL GARDENS.
