So sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Floyd. He was a dear family friend. Always ready with a hug and "how ya doing" when ever you saw him. I still have my miniature cedar chest he gave to the senior class of 1978 as a graduation present. My thoughts and prayers are with Ms. Josie and the entire Landry family at this time.

My deepest condolences to Ms. Josie all family members. Mr. Floyd was loved and respected by so many. I remember him when he sold furniture at Dorr's furniture warehouse. Whenever he would see St. Bernard Parish people come through the door he would yell out "That's my people." Always so friendly and caring. And when his son, Floyd, joined the band Barry and the Outlanders, Mr. Floyd enjoyed having them practice in his garage. I will always remember his bright smile and his wonderful personality. He will be missed by many. May he rest in peace.

My heart is broken. I remember all the times I have talked to and visited with Mr Floyd. What stands out in my mind was his devotion to Ms Josie who I consider a friend and coworker. His visits to the school board office was always a pleasure. Sending prayers to Josie and all of the family. I will keep all of you in my thoughts.
