Francis Charles Armstrong III nickname Charlie age 81, passed away May 7,2026 peacefully at his home. He was a resident of St. Bernard parish. Charlie is survived by his loving wife and caregiver Norma A. Armstrong; his daughter, Shannon Armstrong; his siblings, Allen (Gerri), Karen, Perry (Christie), Lori; his mother-in-law, Lorraine John; many nephews, nieces, cousins and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents, Elizabeth Mary Armstrong and Francis Armstrong Jr., his foster brother, Milton Sands.
Charlie graduated from Chalmette High School in 1964. He was a Marine Veteran in 1965 and was later honorably discharged from the military. Charlie attended Nunez College to be an Emergency Medical Technician. He was once a St. Bernard Deputy Sheriff \ Detective at St. Bernard Parish Sheriff’s Office for many years. His memory will live on in the lives he touched and the family he cherished so deeply. Special thanks to Heart of Hospice & Staff.
