Francis "Mickey" Charles Pecar

Francis “Mickey” Charles Pecar passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, October 10, 2022 at the age of 67. He was preceded in death by his parents Francis Charles Pecar Sr. & Carmen Jené Pecar and his beloved children Lawrence A. Pecar & René A. Pecar. He is survived by his devoted wife of 45 years Sybil Prosper Pecar. Loving father of Alan P. Blaché Jr. & Kelly A. Blaché. Proud grandfather of Aleisha Blaché, Tyler Pecar, Alan Blaché, Aiden Pecar, Aubrey Pecar, Angelina Blaché, Giada Blaché and Joey Pecar. Great grandfather of Saylor Held. Brother of Randal Pecar, Stacie Dumas and Darrell Pecar. He is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Mickey was born in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish where he enjoyed a long career as a master mechanic for more than 45 years. His fondness of repairing, fixing or adjusting anything with a motor was surpassed only by the love he had for his grandchildren. He believed in hard work and was always genuine with the customers he served. He was well loved and affectionately known for his good nature and generous heart. He will always be remembered as a loving and loyal husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and a good friend, who treasured his family and friends. He was a wonderful example of what it means to care for others.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, October 21st from 11:00AM – 1:00PM, followed by a Mass in memory of Mickey beginning at 1:00PM. He will be laid to eternal rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
