Giovanni Miserendino

Giovanni Miserendino passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, May 7, 2021 at the age of 85. He was the beloved husband of Anna Aceste Miserendino for the past 61 years. He is also survived by his four children, Joseph Miserendino, Sr., Giovanni Miserendino, Luciano Miserendino, Sr. and Maria Carollo Theriot. Father-in-law of Shelby Prestenburg Miserendino, Lisa Daigle Miserendino, Stephanie Mortillaro Miserendino, and Raymond Theriot. Proud grandfather of Christine Miserendino, Luciano Miserendino Jr. (Kathleen), Jenna Miserendino, Maria C. Nunez (Jeremy), Louis Carollo (Loren), Teresa C. Quintana (Joshua), and one great-grandchild, Jacob Carollo. His surviving siblings, are his sisters, Rose Amico and Angelina Gioe. Giovanni was preceded in death by a grandchild, Joseph Miserendino, Jr., a son-in-law, Louis Carollo, his parents, Giuseppe Miserendino and Maria DiMartino Miserendino of Sicily, Italy, his siblings, Gaetano, Giuseppe, Calogero and Santo Miserendino and Maria Candella. Giovanni loved working throughout his lifetime with his sons in the family trade of granite and tile. He worked until the age of 82 when he suffered a stroke in January 2018. One of his other passions, was his property in Folsom, LA, where he enjoyed many weekends tending to his vegetable garden and many acres of land. Giovanni was laid to rest at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens on Saturday, May 15, 2021 in private services.
