To all our cousins in the New Orleans area, we loved Aunt Helen so much! We are truly going to miss her. We are unable to make the trip down to the funeral, please know that our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.
I feel very blessed that Mom and I got the opportunity to go visit Aunt Helen as often as we could at the Assisted Living Facility . Our last visit with her she was still smiling, laughing and talking. I can remember many times when she and Uncle George would come to visit us in SC, she and I would stay up real late just talking. At that time I realized how much Georgia was like her mother. She was such a special person, there will never be another one like her. I know she is having a blast in Heaven with all her family members that arrived before her.
Every time we have Pig Pickin’ cake we think about Aunt Helen. She loved it so much. I think Mom made one for Uncle George, Aunt Helen and Ashley every time they visited.
Aunt Helen loved Jesus and she wanted everybody to know Him like she did. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, great great grandmother, aunt, sister, sister-in-law and friend to many.
When I got the call from Anne telling me that she had gone peacefully to Heaven around 5:30. I was reminded that she made it to Heaven before Suppertime. There was an old song that the lyrics went like this… Come Home, Come home it’s Supper time. Aunt Helen is at home at last and she made it for the greatest supper time of them all.
What a glorious way to leave this earth peacefully and into the arms of Jesus.
Please read John 16:32-33. I pray that it is a comfort to you as it has been a comfort to us in our times
when we are missing our loved one.
From your loving Aunt Edith and all your loving cousins in SC,
Barbara (Byron), Ben (Dana), Becky (Tom), Pam (Rocky)and their families

So sorry to hear that Aunt Helen has passed away but rejoice in the fact that she is in heaven and no longer carrying an oxygen tank around with her. She has a new body and has been reunited with many family members that have gone on before her. What a reunion that must have been. Recently Pam and Mom got to see her at the nursing home and took her some "Pig Pickin cake". I am so glad they were able to do that for her. I know that she will be missed. Love to the family and praying for you all at this time. Please know that we will be with you all in our thoughts on Friday as you celebrate her life.
