He is preceded in death by his father Henry Charles Schuth, Sr., his mother Elsie Schuth Daigle, his sisters Claudia Schuth Shepherd and Christine Schuth Stogner, his nieces Lisa Anne Shepherd and Jill Terri Harrigan, and his nephew Michael John Shepherd. He is survived by his sister Cynthia Schuth Moreau, his Brother-in-law Ronald Stogner, and his nieces and nephews, Darnell, Rhonda, Robyn (Wes), and Jessica Shepherd, Cody (Tabitha) and Jordie Stogner, and Rachael, Sarah Fuhrman (Jeff), and Henry Thomas Moreau, as well as 8 great nieces and nephews. All of whom he loved very much. He was born in New Orleans on January 10, 1952. A native of Chalmette, Chuck lived in Gretna for the past 45 years. He was a graduate of Chalmette High School, Class of 1970, and graduated from LSU in 1974 with a BS in Electrical Engineering. During his career, Chuck held several jobs in the Petroleum and Aerospace industries. In one of those positions he was employed at Martin Marietta where he contributed to the work on the external tank for the Space Shuttle. Chuck enjoyed spending time with his family but he also loved his LSU Tigers and his Saints. As a golf enthusiast and avid golfer, he enjoyed his retirement on the golf course and volunteered every year for the PGA/Zurich Classic golf tournament. His wit and kindness were incomparable. To say he will be missed is an understatement.
