Irene Cuadrado Bouchoux Boasso

Our precious mother, grandmother and great-grandmother will be dearly missed. Irene Cuadrado Bouchoux Boasso, at the age of 94, passed away on July 24, 2023 at 10:42 PM. She was born on August 2, 1928. Her parents are the late Joseph F. Cuadrado, Sr. and Anna Mae Harmon Cuadrado.

Mrs. Boasso was a native of New Orleans and a resident of Chalmette, LA for the past 55 years. She retired as a school teacher at Our Lady of Prompt Succor School. She was the beloved wife of the late Herbert J. Boasso, Sr. and the late Louis Chris Bouchoux, Sr. Mrs Boasso is survived by her daughters, Anna Glassford (Guy) and Cindy Tarver (James) and daughter in law, Katherine Bouchoux. She is predeceased by her son, Louis Chris Bouchoux, Jr. and daughter, Judy Ann Bouchoux. Mrs. Boasso is survived by stepsons, Herbert J. Boasso, Jr., (Mary Ellen) Wayne Boasso (Janice) and Lawrence Boasso (Nina).

She is the sister of Joyce Cuadrado Shea (the late Harold Shea) and brother, Joseph F. Cuadrado, Jr. (the late Mary Ann Cuadrado). Beloved grandmother to Rochelle, Alexis, Alison, Mario, Louis III, Daniel, Monique, Russell, Janine, Nicole, Chris, Michael, Jeannette, Ashley, Alyssa, Ted and Adrienne. She is also survived by 28 great grandchildren.

Mrs. Boasso’s family asks that she be remembered for the love and joy she brought to others in her life.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, July 29, 2023 from 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
