Ivil Claire Landry Martinez passed away Wednesday, June 24, 2015 at the age of 74. She was surrounded by her loved ones in her son’s home in Pearl River, Louisiana. She is survived by her son Timothy H. Martinez, Sr. (Sharon); Beloved Grandmother of Anthony J. Martinez, Jr. Amy Jones (John), Timothy H. Martinez Jr. (Megan), and Melissa Martinez. Great Grandmother of Halie and Dyllon Rush and John Jones III. Sister of Helen Coxwell. She was preceded in death by her parents, the late Ivy and Elvira Landry, her son, the late Anthony J. Martinez Sr., her lifelong companion, the late William “Billy” Doran, her late sisters Irene Acosta and Barbara Naquin, and her late brothers Raymond and Norman Landry. Mrs. Martinez was a long time resident of St. Bernard Parish until 2008, when she relocated to Bush, La. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, June 27, 2015 from 9:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. A Funeral Service will begin in the Chapel at 1:30 p.m. Mrs. Martinez will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Catholic Cemetery.
