

Jean Adragna Reilly, 91, passed away peacefully, August 29, 2025. A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, she lived a full life centered around the love of her family and the simple joys of everyday living. A native of New Orleans, LA, she lived in Violet, LA for 38 years until Hurricane Katrina and currently resided in Mandeville, LA. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 54 years, Francis "Jake" L. Reilly III, who passed in 2008. Together they built a beautiful life filled with love, laughter, and cherished memories.
Jean was the proud matriarch of a large and loving family, and nothing brought her more joy than spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Whether at family gatherings, sharing stories, or simply hearing about their lives, her family was truly the light of her life. She retired as a federal employee, after serving many years as the Office Administrator for the Defense Contract Audit Agency. In retirement, she enjoyed traveling, cooking for her family and caring for her grandchildren. She kept her mind active by solving crossword puzzles, reading, and playing computer games. She remained connected with loved ones and the world around her through Facebook, always eager to see photos, read updates, and share in the joys of others. Her strength, warmth, and wisdom has left a lasting legacy that will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew her.
She is survived by her daughters, Scarlet R. Quinton (John) and Kelly R. Jennings (Troy); her grandchildren, Timothy G. Reilly (Kristina), Brent M. Reilly (Amanda), Bailey E. Jennings, and Cullen M. Jennings; 7 great-grandchildren, and 1 great-great-grandchild; her daughter- in-law, Fran Reilly; her sisters, Marlene A. Koschmann (the late Edward) and Olga A. Cocchiara (the late Charles); her brother, William J. Adragna Jr. (Judy); and her god children, Shelli L. Gifford, Peter J. Cocchiara, and Kate K. King. Jean is preceded in death by her husband, Francis “Jake” L. Reilly III; her sons, Francis "Mickey" L. Reilly IV and Timothy S. Reilly; 1 great grandchild, her parents, William J. Adragna Sr., and Amy Treitler Adragna; her sisters, Jacqueline A. Aromy (the late Edwin), and Faith A. Clouatre (the late Carlos).
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 11:00AM- 1:00PM, followed by a funeral service in Jean’s memory beginning at 1:00PM. She will be laid to eternal rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
