Jeanette Deffes Bowley

Jeanette is now reunited in heaven with her beloved parents, Elsie Deffes and August “Geese” Deffes; her siblings, Terry Guidry, Nicky Guidry, Jennifer Deffes, and Jocelynn Deffes; and her daughter, Jessica Ronquille.

She is survived by her devoted husband, Joey Bowley, Sr., who stood by her side through life’s many seasons. She also leaves behind her loving brother, Chuck Deffes (Christine). Jeanette was a proud stepmother to Bambi Goutierrez (Tony) and Joey Bowley, Jr. (Michele).

Her legacy continues through her grandchildren, Chaz Ronquille (Kylie), Mindy Hauck (Randy), and Dillon Ronquille (Erika), as well as her step-grandchildren, Brennah, Gabrielle, and Colton Goutierrez; Kaylynn, Madelynn, and Jack Bowley. She was also blessed with nine great-grandchildren, who will carry on her love and memory for generations to come.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, and treasured the moments they shared together. She also loved spending time with her girlfriends, shopping, finding joy in laughter, companionship, and making memories with those closest to her.

Jeanette will be remembered for her love of family, her strength, and the warmth she shared with everyone who knew her. Her presence will be deeply missed, but her memory will live on in the hearts of those she loved.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2621 Colonial Blvd. Violet, LA on Wednesday, April 29, 2026 from 10:00AM – 12:00PM, followed by a Mass in Jeanette’s memory beginning at 12:00PM
