Jodi Marie Jackson

Jodi Gauthreaux Jackson, age 52, passed away on Friday, April 3, 2015 after a courageous battle with ALS. She was the cherished wife of Kevin Jackson for 34 years. Loving mother of Jessica Jackson Thonn (John), Jennifer Lynn Jackson and Jamie Lynn Jackson (Bruce). Daughter of the late Mark and Marion Bominder Gauthreaux. Sister of Joseph Gauthreaux (the late Patsy) and the late Susan Gauthreaux Saavedra (the late Rod). Devoted grandmother Johnny, Sidney, Peyton, McKenzie, Kameron, Jorden and the late Julliette Lynn. Proud aunt of John Paul, Christopher and Joseph Gauthreaux. Jodi was a lifelong resident of New Orleans, LA. She was a graduate of John Jay Beauty College and worked as a waitress most of her adult life. Jodi will be forever remembered as a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, aunt and friend. She was a very caring and generous person and will be deeply missed by her family and by all those whose lives she touched. Special thanks to the MDA/ALS Association, Team Gleason and the ALS Guardian Angels for their care, compassion and support. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass to be held at ST. NICHOLAS OF MYRA CATHOLIC CHURCH, 21420 Chef Menteur Hwy., New Orleans, LA on Monday, April 20, 2015 at 11:30 AM. A gathering to celebrate Jodi will follow the Mass. Inurnment will be private.
