

John Camp Jr. passed away peacefully on September 14, 2014at the age of 95. He was the beloved husband of Vivian Camp for 69 years. A native of New Orleans and resident of Arabi, he was a retired driver for Campbell’s 66 and a member of the Teamster Local 270. He was the son of John Camp Sr., and Julia Gabriel Camp. He was preceded in death by brother’s George and Charles Camp, sisters Alma Russo and Emma Wilson. He is survived by his loving wife Vivian, son John Camp III, daughters Barbara Williams (George) and Jane Doseff (Chris). Grandchildren Lisa Cook, Michael Williams, Sherry Johnston and Tina Guerra. Great grandchildren Natalie and Rebekah Tomblin, two sisters Mary Navarre, Shirley Kermon and many Nieces and Nephews.
John was a WWII Veteran and recipient of The Purple Heart having served his country in Germany with the Army. He was a great husband and wonderful father and grandfather.
Relatives, friends, employees of the Luling Living Center and Campbell’s 66 are invited to attend a Visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME Chapel, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, September 19, 2014 from 10:00AM ~ 12:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will begin at 12:00 PM. Burial will follow at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
