

Johnnie Jeannette Fradella passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 9, 2026 at the age of 88. She was the cherished wife of the late Joseph Sam Fradella. Beloved companion of the late Warren Roberts. Loving mother of John A. Fradella, Rhonda F. Ebel (Keith) and the late Joseph S. Fradella (Janine) and Mark A. Fradella. Daughter of the late Johnie Henry Counts and Addie Grace Counts. Proud grandmother of Erica Beck (Chaunci), Jeanné Lynch (Joseph), Brandi Benson (the late Kris), Johnny Arsenault (Joshua), Jay Fradella, Jolene Fradella and Jennifer Fradella. Great grandmother of Taylor Benson, Riley Beck, Jacob Lynch, Jordan Lynch and Brendan Beck. Sister of Betty Stepelcovich (Melvin), Eula Rea Bruscato and James "Doug" Counts.
Jeannette was born in New Orleans, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish before making her home in Mandeville, LA. She was a beautiful person inside and out, with a wonderful sense of style with a true fashionista spirit. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren dearly, and her family was always at the heart of her life. She was fun-loving and full of joy, with a contagious laugh and a happy spirit that could brighten any room. She loved to dance and sing, enjoyed the simple pleasures in life and never met a stranger. Her warmth and kindness made everyone feel welcome.
She loved cooking and preparing fabulous home cooked meals for her family and friends. She also had an adventurous side, including the joy of owning horses and going on trail rides as well as riding them in parades. She was a dedicated and hardworking woman who served as a Supervisor in the Payroll Department at Halter Marine, taking pride in both her work and the life she built.
She will always be remembered for her laughter, her love of family, her generous heart, and the happiness she brought to so many. Her memory will live on through the children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family, and friends who loved her dearly.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, October 16th from 11:00AM – 1:00PM, followed by a memorial service in Jeannette’s memory beginning at 1:00PM. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
