

Johnny Mark Gallo passed away peacefully on Friday, January 23, 2026 at the age of 63. He is preceded in death by his parents, Frank Joseph Gallo, Jr. and Juanita Thibodeaux Gallo; and his grandparents, Odile Olivier Thibodeaux and Ruben "Turk" Thibodeaux. He was also preceded by his brother-in-law, Jess Porche Sr.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Cheri Ann Gallo. He was the loving father of Renea' Ann Sullivan and Nicole Marie Soulagnet. He is also survived by his five grandchildren: Johnny Adrian Soulagnet, Connor Gage Soulagnet, Tommie Shelton Sullivan III, Macy Marie Sullivan, and Tori Morgan Sullivan.
He leaves behind his siblings: Tom Gallo (Lynn), Ronnie Gallo (Vickie), Donnia Porche, and Ronda Crockett (Michael), along with numerous nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
Johnny was born on December 31, 1962, in Houma, LA and was a longtime resident of St. Bernard Parish. He retired after a long and dedicated career as an oilfield operator, a path that reflected his strong work ethic and steady commitment to his family. He was a man who truly never met a stranger. Known as a social butterfly and a gifted storyteller, he had a way of drawing people in, offering warmth, laughter and conversation to everyone he met.
He had a deep appreciation for nature and found peace being outdoors. His hobbies included hunting, reading and exploring his interest in astrology.
Above all else, Johnny was a devoted husband and father. He adored his daughters & grandchildren and cherished every moment spent with them.
He will be missed more than words can express and remembered always by the many hearts he touched.
Following Johnny’s wishes, he will be laid to eternal rest, February 2, 2026 in a private ceremony.
