Josephine Martin Cure passed away on Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at the age of 77. She was the cherished wife of the late Martin Cure for 54 years. Loving mother of Gary Cure Sr. and Kevin Cure (Stacey). Daughter of the late Andrew and Elvina Lattapie Martin. Sister of Michael Martin, Alfred Martin, Henry Martin, Letitia Martin and the late Elodia Guidry.
Proud grandmother of Brandy Cure, Gary Cure Jr. and Tracy Cure. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.
She was well loved and affectionately known for her generous heart and great cooking. She will be forever remembered as the best Maw-Maw ever who helped make our world a better place.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Tuesday, February 2, 2016 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM. A funeral service will begin at 1:00 PM. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
