Josephine Gioe O’Brien passed away on Friday, July 30, 2021 at the age of 69. Beloved wife of the late Vincent Joseph Carbello Jr. and Michael Thomas O’Brien. Loving mother of Dina Carbello, Michael O’Brien, Scott O’Brien and the late Calogero “Carlo” Joseph Carbello. Proud grandmother of Roman Appel and the late Joshua Dullary and Alexandra “Ally” Short. Daughter of the late Calogero Gioe and Leonarda “Nana” Tommaseo Gioe.
Ms. O’Brien was a real estate agent in St. Bernard Parish alongside her late husband, Mike, for 34 years. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Saturday, August 7, 2021 from 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will begin at 1:00 PM. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens. Due to COVID-19, face masks and social distancing are required.
