Joyce was a resident of St. Bernard Parish for over seventy years and a parishioner of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Violet. She will be missed by all who were touched by her love and kindness. She enjoyed the many friendships she made from her activities at the St. Bernard Council on Aging. She was especially proud of her Senior Olympic medals. Joyce was an excellent cook and enjoyed Cajun and Square dancing, knitting, crocheting, sewing, bingo and bowling.
She made the world a better place while she was here, but now she is in a better place for eternity and will be forever in our hearts.
Friends are invited to the visitation that begins at 9 a.m. on March 9th at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church, 2621 Colonial Boulevard in Violet, Louisiana, followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. Interment will be at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home & Gardens, 701 Virtue Street in Chalmette.
