Joyce Dobson Plough passed away peacefully on Tuesday, March 15, 2016 at the age of 88. She was the cherished wife of the late Abraham J. Plough. Loving mother of Melanie Magnon Davis, Karen Plough Wyman, Ellen Plough Cochran and Mark Joseph Plough Sr. Daughter of the late Henry and Lucia Frayle Dobson. Sister of Virginia Dugas and Adolph Ferrar. Proud grandmother of Laura Wyman, Rachel Wyman, Mark Plough Jr., Justin Plough, Sarah Cochran and Ian Cochran. She is also survived and fondly remembered by many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. Joyce was a native of New Orleans, LA and a resident of St. Bernard Parish for 47 years. She was rescued by the Red Cross after Hurricane Katrina and became a current resident of Greer, SC. She enjoyed a long career as a Dictaphone Typist along with providing a warm home for her family. She was well loved and will be forever remembered as a loving and loyal wife, mother, grandmother and sister, who treasured her family. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a memorial gathering to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, May 6th from 12:00PM – 1:00PM, followed by a memorial service beginning at 1:00PM. She will be laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
