Mrs. Joyce M Sherlock

Joyce Marie “Mossy” Sherlock, age 87 years, wife of the late George A. Sherlock., went to be with the Lord on October 2, 2014. She is survived by her daughters Peggy Artigue; Eileen Sherlock Pastor (husband Gary Petit); Darleen Olson (husband Bill Olson); her son Nickolas J. Sherlock (wife Dana Sherlock); 7 grandchildren whom she loved dearly, Kellie Artigue, William R. Pastor, III; Nicole Morales; Andy Olson; Erin Olson; Nickolas Sherlock, Jr.; Jessica Bayard; three great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren. Also, companion of the late Hank Geeck, Sr., and best friend of Michael Lutyhe. Joyce was born on January 12, 1927, in New Orleans, LA., lived in St. Bernard and St. Tammany parishes, and was a resident of Green Briar Community Care Center for the past 6 years. Joyce most enjoyed spending time with her children and family. She was usually the life of the party. Friends and family are invited to attend a graveside memorial service to be held at St. Bernard Memorial Gardens, 701 Virtue St., Chalmette, LA 70043, on Monday, October 20th beginning at 10:00AM. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her name to Green Briar Care Center, (Activities Fund) 505 Robert Blvd. Slidell, LA 70458 or Canon Hospice, 19375 North 4th Street, Covington, LA 70443.
