

Judy Hamilton, a beloved mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away peacefully on November 30, 2024, surrounded by the family she cherished so deeply. Born on December 30, 1940, Judy lived a life defined by love, strength, and an unwavering devotion to those she held dear. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Robert “Bob” Hamilton, with whom she built a beautiful life. Together, they raised four boys, a task that Judy undertook with resilience and grace while Bob worked tirelessly as an entrepreneur and business owner. As a mother, Judy was a guiding light—her strength and compassion shaped her family into what it is today. Judy also pursued a meaningful career at Regions Bank, where her dedication and warm personality earned her the admiration of colleagues and clients alike. Known for her kindness, she made friends wherever she went, turning strangers into lifelong connections. Judy’s life was full and vibrant. Whether enjoying lunch with her cherished girlfriends of her social club, attending her grandchildren’s special events, or staying involved in her church, Judy embraced every moment with energy and joy. She was a woman of deep faith and an active member of her church community, finding strength and purpose in her beliefs. In her final months, Judy’s family and devoted caregivers who quickly became family surrounded her with love and care, ensuring she felt the warmth and support she had always given to others. Her legacy of love, laughter, and faith will live on in the hearts of her family and friends.
Judy is survived by her four sons, Ricky (Stacey), Mike (Brenda), David (Lisa) and Mark (Dawn). Grandchildren Christine (Jason), Lacie (Sarah), Brittany, Paige (Casey), Danielle (Cody), Tiffani and Troy. Great grandchildren Ella Grace, Emmy Kate, Stevie, Everett, Sylvie, Isabel, Joanna, Bronson, Brantley, Beckett and Bristol. They were the pride and joy of her life. She will be remembered as a woman who embodied kindness, strength, and an unyielding love for her family. Judy Hamilton’s memory will forever inspire all who were blessed to know her.
While attending the funeral, we kindly ask that guests wear casual clothing to honor the laid- back spirit of Judy. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to in her memory to the American Heart Association. Casual attire, Judy wanted it that way!
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Monday, December 16th from 11:00AM – 1:00PM, followed by a funeral in Judy’s memory beginning at 1:00PM. She will be laid to eternal rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
