Judy Dutruch Roy

Judy Dutruch Roy passed away on January 2, 2021 at age 77. Judy was born in New Orleans, a resident of Arabi for 56 years. Judy is predeceased by her parents Chester George Mancuso, Irene Griffin Dutruch and her stepfather, Rene J. Dutruch. She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Edwin Main Roy, Jr. Adoring mother of Darren Michael Roy (Wife Megan Suffern), Rene Denise Roy, Corey Jacob Roy (Husband Doyle Michael White), and Brett William Roy. Proud Grannie of Adam Frederick Roy and Luke Alexander Roy. Sister of Deborah Dutruch Duperon (Husband Richard). Judy volunteered for many years in the kindergarten class at Our Lady of Prompt Succor School. She loved her family, good friends, Christmas and the Saints. Due to Covid-19, a private burial will be held. In Judy's own words: "I have always loved the written word and wanted to express my own feelings in this write-up. Life is full of ups and downs, but oh those highs really pull you up. My dear husband E.M. of 56 years and our children have been my life; it was time well spent! Our children sharing their adult lives with us has been everything! Adam and Luke, our grandsons, have always brought us pure joy. My sister Debbie has been a wonderful constant in my life. I have been surrounded by beautiful friends. (You know who you are) It has been a great ride. Thank you all for sharing it with me."
