Kevin G. Caywood

Kevin Glenn Caywood, age 57, of Chalmette, Louisiana, passed away on September 16, 2026. Kevin was born January 22, 1969, to Dorothy Wiegand Caywood and William L. Caywood, Sr., and was a lifelong resident of St. Bernard Parish.

Kevin was welcomed into eternal life by his father, William L. Caywood, Sr.; his brother, William L. Caywood, Jr.; his brother-in-law Robert T. Sanders, Sr. and his beloved nephew, Shawn W. Sanders.

He is survived by his loving mother, Dorothy Wiegand Caywood; his devoted siblings, Patricia C. Sanders (Robert), Tammy C. Sudeen(Motilall), Conrad C. Caywood, and Kenneth D. Caywood (Helen); and his cherished nieces and nephews, Robert T. Sanders Jr., Timothy M. Sanders, Jonathan C. Caywood, Alexander M. Sudeen, Brittany N. Caywood, Jennifer H. Caywood, Kenneth D. Caywood Jr., and Nicholas J. Caywood.

Kevin was also a proud and loving great-uncle to Kaylyn Sanders, Victoria Sanders, Gabrielle Sanders, Marigny Williams, Oaklynn Caywood, William Munch, and Briar Rose Caywood.

Kevin was a man of faith and an active member of Celebration Church, including its Men's Group and Human League Men's Group. He was a licensed pharmacy technician with Walgreens Pharmacy and a talented graphic designer. Throughout his career, he also worked at Michael's Arts & Crafts, Caywood-Randazzo Bakery, Level 10, B&D Displays Inc, Sudeen's Pharmacy, and Eckerd Pharmacy.

Known for his larger-than-life personality, Kevin never met a stranger. He was kind, welcoming, and always the life of the party. He loved his family and friends deeply and treasured every opportunity to bring joy to those around him.

Kevin's passions included all things Jaws, 1980s music, cosplay, and trips to Disney and Universal Studios. He was a dedicated follower of Disney and Universal content creator Tim Tracker whose videos and adventures inspired Kevin to begin blogging and sharing his own experiences.

His creativity, humor, and enthusiasm for life made him unforgettable to everyone who knew him.

Kevin also leaves behind a host of dear friends and coworkers who will miss his friendship, contagious smile, and generous heart.

Family, friends, and colleagues are invited to attend a visitation on Saturday, September 26 from 10:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. at St. Bernard Memorial Funeral Home, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA with funeral services beginning at 1:00 p.m. Interment will be held on Monday, September 28, at 11:00 a.m. at McDonoghville Cemetery, 520 Hancock St., Gretna, LA.

Kevin will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives he touched. May his memory bring comfort and peace to those who loved him.
