

Laulee “Lee” Crifasi, 89, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 19, 2016. Lee was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 64 years, the late Joseph M. Crifasi and her parents Robert and Cindy Johnson. She was the loving mother of Frank J. Crifasi (Georgia) and Robert J. Crifasi (Peggy). She was deeply loved by her three grandsons Joe, Rod and Frank who she adored immensely. She is survived by her sister, Robbie Niles of Sacramento, California and was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A native of Vernon Parish, Lee moved to St. Bernard Parish in 1946 and remained a life-long resident. She was a selfless caregiver, caring and loyal friend, and amazing cook. Lee deeply loved her neighbors and neighborhood in St. Bernard where she and Joe resided for 64 years. She is also survived by her best friend Belva Stokes who resided next door. Lee retired after 25 years of service with the Louisiana State Board of Cosmetology as a State Inspector.
She will be sadly missed by her entire family and friends. A special thanks to Our Lady of Wisdom Healthcare Center where Lee resided for the past year.
A Mass of Christian Burial was held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, April 22, 2016. She was laid to rest in St. Bernard Memorial Gardens.
