Leann Edith Leonard, 57, passed away peacefully, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, laughter, and cherished memories that will live on in the hearts of all who knew her. Born in Bogalusa, LA, she was a proud graduate of Andrew Jackson High School. Throughout her life, she touched many people through the various roles she held. She worked as a training manager for Blockbuster, cared for the elderly with compassion and patience, and later worked as a grocery store cashier, where her warm personality made even an ordinary shopping trip a little brighter. She never met a stranger.
To know her was to experience her generous heart and loving spirit. She was the kind of person who would give you her last dollar or the shirt off her back if she thought you needed it. She brought light, laughter, and love wherever she went, and her kindness left an impression on everyone fortunate enough to cross her path. In her free time, she enjoyed crocheting, watching movies, shopping, and cooking. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life and in spending time with the people she loved.
Above all else, her greatest joy was her family. She was a devoted mother to her beloved daughter and a loving grandmother to her grandson. They were the center of her world, and the love she had for them was evident in everything she did. Her family will forever treasure the countless memories, lessons, laughter, and love she gave them.
She leaves behind her beloved daughter, Sabrina Ivette Bueso, and cherished grandson, Mikhail Henry Willis, along with family, friends, and countless others whose lives she touched. Leann is preceded in death by her parents, Stanley Glenn Leonard Sr. & Patricia Ann Knight; her brother Stanley Glenn Leonard Jr.
Though her presence will be deeply missed, her love will remain. It will live on in the kindness she taught others, the memories she created, the recipes she shared, the things she crocheted, the laughter she brought, and most of all, in the hearts of those who loved her. She was truly one of a kind—a woman who made the world a little brighter simply by being in it. Her memory will be a blessing, and her love will never be forgotten.
All those whose lives Leann has touched are invited to attend a visitation to be held at ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL FUNERAL HOME, 701 W. Virtue St., Chalmette, LA on Friday, September 4, 2026, from 9:00AM- 11:00AM. A funeral service will begin at 11:00AM. Burial will follow in ST. BERNARD MEMORIAL GARDENS.
